The days may be getting shorter but Niagara is still long on options for fun this November. The wineries, restaurants and beautiful outdoor spaces that make Niagara unique are still great places to visit as the weather drops. Just remember to pack a scarf!
Looking for some other things to do this month? Here are our three favourite things to do when it's time to "fall back" in love with Niagara!
The Handmake Market is a great Niagara tradition that shows off some of the creative artisans in our community. Held three times a year, the Spring, Fall and Holiday Handmade Market are all a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses and designers by purchasing truly unique items; everything from jewellery, preserves, clothing, glass, art, knits, home decore and much more is available.
The Holiday Handmake is where it all started and now enters its 9th year bigger than ever. Held this year at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, you'll find over 180 artists and thousands of items for sale. This is always a good opportunity to finish holiday shopping early with unique gifts for your friends and family (and yourself!)
Wrapped Up In The Valley celebrates the cuisine and the wine of Niagara's Twenty Valley region. More than 20 wineries participate in this festival, each offering their own unique and unforgettable experience. This annual event is always a fun way to kick off the holiday season, taking place over the course of three weekends.
Each of the wineries participating offer their own unique food and wine pairing. You can even use your "passport" to track your visits. Best part? You'll leave each stop with a unique recipe for something delicious all year long...and you'll know what to pair it with!
Take A Spa Day
Forget about the temperature dropping outside for a few hours and treat yourself to a relaxing spa day. Niagara has some fantastic options for spas and treatments. We always recommend the classics of The 100 Fountain Spa at the Pillar & Post and The Spa at White Oaks. These spas are renowned for their customer service and can be relied upon for a great experience, every time.
Looking for something different? Try the new Healing Salt Caves in Niagara Falls, another unique Niagara experience that uses natural healing through the recreation of salt caves. Check out their offersand treat yourself!
Spa days also make a great holiday gift...hint, hint Cam!
